After being in the body shop doing fender benders as a steady 9 to 5 job, and doing kustom and speciality car work on the side for some 20 plus years, I made the decision to go on my own into full time kustom kar building.
In 1987 I opened Kustom Touch Kar Specialities. Great decision.
Loved every minute of it. Sure the hours were long and a lot of the work strenuous, but it was what I really enjoyed.
Well a few years ago mother nature intervened in the form of "TICKER TROUBLE".
I was getting close to retirment age and after almost 20 years of working on the most FUN PROJECTS, and getting to meet what are probably the best customers a shop owner could have, I decided to close the business.
That was over two years ago and I am getting bored. Well we're doing pretty good now health wise so I figure "what the heck", lets get a couple of projects going again.
So - here's the deal.
I am starting to do "ONLY KUSTOM WORK AGAIN. NO COMPLETE RESTORATIONS OR OTHER COMPLETE PROJECTS.
I will do only the kustom work as far as into prime and first block sand.
If you want tailights reworked that's what I will do.
If you want the top chopped that's what I'll do and get it into prime.
I will not do any other bodywork.
Your favorite body shop can handle all your other body repair needs.
If they don't understand the kustom work you want done, that's what I will handle.
Now I don't have the nice shop anymore.
Thankfully I was able to sell it when the problems started. I will be working out of my home garage. . Don't be expecting a high ticket shop.
Well that being said and being that we are in a northern climate (Wisconsin), I will only be doing projects from May through September.
Sooooooo - that's the skinny. If you are needing some kustom work and feel this might be acceptable, give me a call.
Maybe we can get together on something ... Oh - by the way you will be talking to John (T-ski) Tomaszewski.
